About the Author
Michelle Felesina, author of the enchanting children's book "Pierre the Pesky Peacock," captured readers' hearts with her whimsical storytelling and vibrant characters upon its release in 2023.
With two more books on the horizon, Michelle's creative spirit knows no bounds. When she's not weaving tales, Michelle can often be found crocheting small stuffed animals or jotting down ideas for her next literary adventure.
Her recent recognition in the UK's Paul Cave Prize for Literature 2024 competition, where she clinched second place and earned high commendation, is a testament to her talent and dedication.
Michelle's passion for animals and crafting children's stories stems from her childhood where she grew up on a farm just outside of Monto in Queensland.
As a young girl, she spent her time making up stories to tell her animal friends. Later in life, Michelle became a primary school teacher, and it was here that she witnessed firsthand the transformative power of literature on young minds.
After almost 30 years in the education sector, Michelle has now retired and is planning to return to life on the farm in the near future.
